George Brunner

George Brunner came to Canada from Ingenheim, Alsace in 1834. He first worked in the sawmill business in Waterloo.

George leased 100 acres at Lot 24 of Concession 3, Ellice Township, Perth County in 1839 and earned the deed in 1844. He passed the farm onto his son Peter in 1872.

George also leased 100 acres at Lot 24 of Concession 4 in Ellice Township, earned the deed in 1847, and passed this farm onto his son Peter in 1893.

George and Elizabeth had the following children:
Jacob 1838-1901
Peter 1841-1905
Mary 1843-1969
Catherine 1845-
Barbara 1847-1925
Elizabeth 1851-1863
Engeline 1855-
Anna 1859-1920
