Services for Patrick "Pat" Killian will be 10:00 a.m., Fri., April 1st, 2011 in the Chapel of the Garden at Rice Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Lone Elm Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home until 5:00 p.m. today with the family receiving visitors from 3:00 to 5:00.
Pat passed away Sun., March 27th, 2011. He was 54.
Though born in Las Cruces, NM on March 14, 1957 to parents Richard A. and Joan (Tucker) Killian, Pat grew up and received his education in Claremore.
After excelling academically in high school, Pat attended college before following in his father's footsteps. He earned the necessary certification in heating and air conditioning which enabled him to take over the family business, Killian Heat and Air.
Pat was a very talented musician. He had the God-given ability to play by ear allowing him to become an accomplished bass player. Pat and his brother, Hank, were well recognized locally for their participation in money-raising efforts to benefit Hayes House, in addition to numerous individual recipients with medical or other financial needs.
Kind-hearted and generous, Pat was loved by all who knew him. He is survived by his children, Mary Killian of Tulsa and Daniel Killian of Claremore; his mother, Joan Killian, also of Claremore; sister Brenda Lee Mitchell and husband, Barry of Angora Hills, CA, brothers William "Rocky" Smith and wife, Julie Anna, of Indio, CA, Michael Smith and wife, Shirley, and Richard, "Hank" Killian and wife, Laina, all of Claremore; his grandson, Seth Killian, of Tulsa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Killian and wife, Elizabeth Killian.
