According to his June 5, 1917 WWI Draft Registration card, William Miller Heidenreich, b. Jan. 22, 1892 in Freewater, Oregon, was living in College Place, Washington. He was single and working as a teacher in a missionary training school at Walla Walla College. He was described as tall and slender, with brown eyes and dark hair.

Death Takes Prominent Civic Leader
ARCADIA. Dr. William M. Heidenreich, 64, of 1110 Rodeo Rd., prominent civic leader of Arcadia, collapsed yesterday at the 18th hole of the Santa Anita Gold Course and was pronounced death by his brother and business associate, Dr. Harry Heidenreich at 4:20 p.m.
Dr. William Heidenreich had practiced medicine in Arcadia since he came here 26 years ago. He served as chief of staff of the Monrovia Hospital for seven years and was on the staff at St. Luke and Alhambra Hospitals.
He was a member of the Arcadia School Board for 12 years and in recognition of his services to the community, the Little Theater at Arcadia High School was named Heidenreich Hall.
Dr. Heidenreich was a member of the Arcadia Rotary Club for 26 years and was first elder of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Pasadena.
He also was affiliated with the Souther California Conference Committee of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, the Glendale Academy School Board, the Ethles Committee of the College of Medical Evangelists and Los Angeles County Medical Assn.
A native of Freewater, Ore., Dr. Heidenreich was a graduate of Walla Walla College, Washington and did post graduate work at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington and at the University of Washington.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; son, Capt. Ellsworth W. Heidenreich, U.S. Army, Seattle, Washington; daughters, Mrs. Homer Goulard and Miss Barbara Heidenreich, both of Arcadia; his brother, Dr. Harry Heidenreich; and sisters, Mrs. Harry Haden of Loma Linda and Mrs. John Lubben, Medford, Ore.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m., at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1280 E. Washington St., Pasadena with Glasser-Miller, directors in charge.
