David Allen Taylor, 20, of Rt. 1, New Castle, died at 1 a.m. Wednesday in Robert Long Hospital, Indianapolis, from injuries suffered March 12 in an automobile collision on Ind. 38 west of New Castle.
He was born April 26, 1940, at Middletown, a son of Raymond and Beatrix Akers Taylor. He was an employee of the New Castle State Hospital and had been with U.S. occupation troops oversea.
Survivors include: the widow, Mary Jenkins Taylor of Augusta, Ga.; two sons, David Jr. and Raymond; his parents; four sisters, Mrs. Floyd Delon of Tucson, Ariz., Mrs. William Mastin and Ruth and Madelyn Ann Taylor of Rt. 1. New Castle; three grandparents, Mrs. Sarah E. Taylor of Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Akers of Port Charlotte, Fla.; nephews, nieces, cousins.
Friends will be received after 4 p.m. today in the Ballard and Shirey Funeral Home, Middletown. Services will be conducted in the funeral home at 2:30 p.m. Saturday by the Rev. A.F. Byrne of Lewsville. Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery near Middletown.
