DAVENPORT -- Alice M. Sievers, Davenport, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2002, at Davenport Lutheran Home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation is 3-7 p.m. today and one hour before the services Wednesday, both at the church. Serving as casket bearers will be grandchildren, Kevin Feuerbach, Kirk Feuerbach, Kent Feuerbach, Joe Rekemeyer, Nathan Sievers, Angel Josten and Connie Sievers. Serving as honorary casket bearers will be great-grandchildren, Joshua Josten, Nicholas Josten, Katie Feuerbach, Jonathan Vogel, Zachary Feuerbach and Madison Feuerbach. Bentley Funeral Home, Durant, Iowa, is in charge of arrangements. Alice M. Lilienthal was born Sept. 5, 1909, in Scott County, to Henry and Lillian (Grafing) Lilienthal. She married Ralph J. Sievers on Feb. 6, 1937, in Davenport. Alice was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Davenport, and the Golden Anniversary Club. She was a former member of Durant Garden Club and was a 4-H leader for the Liberty Bell Ringers, New Liberty, Iowa. She loved gardening, sewing, cooking and playing cards. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Davenport. Survivors include her husband, Ralph; daughters, Deanna (Mrs. Leon) Feuerbach, Davenport, and Shirlene (Mrs. Lamoine) Rekemeyer, Davenport; a son, Dwaine (and his wife, Susan) Sievers, Cambridge, Wis.; a sister, Stella Ploen, Durant; a brother, Lawrence (and his wife, Dolly) Lilienthal, Durant; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Meta Otto; and brothers, Harry Lilienthal, Albert Lilienthal, Raymond Lilienthal, Arthur Lilienthal, Allen Lilenthal and Alvin Lilienthal.
