He was born April 26. 1904 in Brandt, town of Chilton, son of the late Theodore and Annie Lange Gosse. He attended Chilton schools.
On June 2, 1940, he married Lucy Miller. She preceded him in death in 1968.
Mr. Gosse then married Henrietta Smasal on Aug. 1, 1975 in Kiel. She died in 1981.
He was employed as a carpenter in Plymouth most of his working life. He was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Kiel, and also a member of the Kiel Senior Citizens.
Survivors include two stepdaughters, Mrs. Gerald (Darlene) Kornetzke, Grafton, and Mrs. Herbert (Rosemary) Vogel Jr., Elkhart Lake; five stepsons, Richard and Thomas Miller, both of Plymouth, Kenneth and Allen Smasal, both of Kiel, and Richard Smasel, New Holstein; 17 step-grandchildren and 6 step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
Services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Meiselwitz Funeral Home in Kiel, with the Rev. John Baumann, pastor of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Sheboygan Falls.
