Clarence W. "Ted" Helweg, 81, of Victoria, died Sunday, March 16, 2003.
He was born in Victoria, to the late Annie Wieland Helweg Broyles and Ernst Helweg. He was an U. S. Army veteran of World War II, serving as corporal, and was retired from Union Carbide. He was a member of the VFW.
Survivors: daughters, Brenda Denison and Cindy McHenry; son, Ernie Helweg; brother, Alvin Helweg; and two grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: wife, Bernice Helweg; sister, Lillian Stubbs; and brother, Edwin Helweg.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. tonight at Colonial Funeral Home chapel.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Lourdes, the Rev. Celestino Say officiating.
Burial with full military honors, under the auspices of Victoria Veterans Council, VFW, CWV, DAV, Vietnam Veterans of America, American Legion, Marine Corps League, the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Crossroads Ex-POWs and the Military Order of the World Wars will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Colonial Funeral Home, Victoria, 361-578-3535.
