VETERAN
A native of Macon County, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Samuel Reese and Olive Moss Reese.
Mr. Reese was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving with the 79th Division, Company "C", 313th infantry during WW II. He was awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronza Star.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Ollie Mae Reese; sons, Stan Reese and wife Beth of Oakhill, Virginia and Samuel Reese of Lynchburg, Virginia; grandsons, Bart and Justin Reese.
The funeral service will be held at 11 am Monday, November 15, 2010 at North Toxaway Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Owen officiating. Burial will be in Highlands Memorial Park with Military graveside rites conducted by the Honor Guard for Transylvania County Veterans.
The family will receive friends from 3 - 5 pm Sunday at Moody-Connolly Funeral Home.
