COAL TOWNSHIP — Harriet L. Reiprich, 78, of 1800 Tioga St., died Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at the Shamokin Area Community Hospital.

Born in Shamokin Sept. 10, 1931, she was a daughter of Clayton Derk and Dorothy Arnold. She lived in Harrisburg for 10 years.

She attended Coal Township schools.

She was married in Winchester, Va., Oct. 13, 1949, to Thomas F. Reiprich, who survives at home.

She was a housewife.

She attended St. John's United Methodist Church, Shamokin.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sons, Thomas F. Reiprich, of Mount Carmel, John M. Reiprich and wife, Deborah, of New Cumberland, Jeffrey H. Reiprich and wife, Mary, of York Haven, and Kevin M. Reiprich and wife, Crystal, of Shamokin; a daughter, Patricia Turner and husband, Thomas, of Laceyville; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clayton Derk, of Coal Township, and Wayne Derk, of Shamokin, and five sisters, Thelma Sholtes, of Shamokin, Judy Schuck, of Shamokin, Betty Horwath, of Shamokin, Barbara Walsh, of Shamokin, and Diane Mastellar, of Benton.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Neil Derk, James Derk, Charles Derk and Irvin Derk; two sisters, Anna McAnnaney and Mary Lou Derk; and a grandson, John Michael Reiprich Jr.

REIPRICH — Harriet L. Reiprich, 78, of 1800 Tioga St., Coal Township. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Farrow's Funeral Directors, 240 W. Chestnut St., Shamokin. Burial will be at Northumberland Memorial Park. A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
