Julia Storch

NAPOLEON -- Julia V. Storch, 92, of Napoleon and formerly of Holgate, died Monday, April 11, 2011 at the University of Toledo Medical Center.

She was born September 15, 1918, in Quenemo, Kansas, to the late Milton Walter and Flora Julia (Downer) Crum. Julia was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She previously was a secretary at Detrick Insurance Company in Defiance. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Order of the Eastern Star, all of Holgate.

She is survived by two daughters, Tari (Tim) Hockman of Hamler, Ohio, and Sandra (Gary Knoll) Storch of Elizabeth, Colorado; two sons, Rick (Esther) Storch and Gary (Cheryl) Storch, both of Napoleon, Ohio; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Bernice Crum Meier.

Visitation will be on Thursday, April 14, 2011, from 3-8 p.m. and on Friday for one hour prior to services at Snyder Funeral Home in Holgate. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home, Holgate, with Rev. Lee Genter officiating. Burial will follow in the Grelton Cemetery. A luncheon will be provided at the St. John's United Church of Christ fellowship hall following the graveside committal.
