Rex E. Iske, 86, of Davenport, died Friday, November 12, 2010, at Genesis Medical Center, West Centeral Park, Davenport. Cremation rites will be accorded.
Rex was born April 24, 1924, in Newton, Iowa, the son of Lauren and Doris (Buchanan) Iske. He married Ida Iske Sovey. He enjoyed sports and his dog, Sandy.
He was an accountant for Alter Company in Davenport and several other companies, retiring in 1996.
Those left to honor his memory are his children, Barbara Rodgers, Spring Valley, CA, Don (Connie) Iske, Loves Park, Ill., Dorothy (Danny) Jackson, Davenport, and Ron (Carol) Iske, DesMoines, Iowa; eight grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; ex-wife and friend, Ida Sovey, Moline, Ill.; brother, Keith Iske, Newton, Iowa; and sister, Virginia Schmidt, Cheyenne, Wyo. He was preceded in death by daughter, Doris Herbeck, and sister, Marjorie Callahan.
