Peter Debus Seriously Injured While Working At Thirteenth and L
Peter Debus, 512 New Hampshire Street, was injured when a tree fell on him while he was working to clear a site for a new building near Thirteenth and L Streets. He was taken in Wadlow's ambulance to the Lincoln General Hospital where he was attended by Dr. George Lewis, city physician, and Dr. W. C. Becker. Mr. Debus was cutting down the tree and it fell before he was prepared. It took several men to lift it from his body. He sustained injuries to his head and his right foot. Dr. Lewis said that his condition is very serious, if not critical.
