Barbara L. (Tkacz) Odabashian, 62, of West Holyoke, died Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Holyoke Medical Center. She was born in Holyoke, daughter of Aurora (Hull) Tkacz of Holyoke and the late Louis Tkacz, graduated from Holyoke High School, and attended Western New England College in Springfield. Barbara was employed as a Certified Payroll Specialist at U.S. Tsubaki in Holyoke, and was a member of the Chicopee Chamber of Commerce. She was an 11 year volunteer for the Pan Mass Challenge, a biking event to benefit the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Barbara is survived by a son, Sean Odabashian of Westfield, two daughters, Kim M. O'Connor and Milli E. Odabashian, both of Westfield, 7 grandchildren: Ryan, Daniel, Grace, Lauren, Nathan, Tayne and Nicholas, 4 brothers: Louis Tkasz of FL, Michael Tkasz of South Hadley, Marty Tkasz of Holyoke, and Gary Blue of New Hampshire, as well as several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by a Mass in Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:00 am. Burial will be in Saint Jerome Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pan Mass Challenge, 77 4th Avenue, Needham MA 02494.
