Wesley Burdorf Rites Monday
Wesley Frank Burdorf, 54, of Estherville died at the Veterans Hospital in Sioux Falls early Thursday morning.

He was born July 14, 1916, in Howard, S.D., the son of Frank and Lillian Burdorf. He received his education in the Leeds and Sioux City school systems.

On Dec. 30, 1946, he was married to Leona Kirsch. In 1955 the couple moved to Estherville, where he was a custodian in the Estherville public school system.

He was a member of the St. Patrick's Church in Estherville.

He is survived by his wife, Leona; four sons, Ed Burdorf, Mankato, Minn.; Frank Burdorf, in the U.S. Navy at Millington, Tenn.; Charles and Thomas Burdorf, Estherville; two brothers, Lawrence Burdorf, Burbank, Calif.; and Raymond Burdorf, Sioux City.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Church, with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. James Duhigg officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick's cemetery.

Friends may call anytime Sunday at the Fuhrman Funeral Home.
