Homer H. Berry was 1 of 4 sons who all served in the First World War. Their father was William H. Berry, who was an inventor and engineer, and at one time served as Tax Collector of the port of Philadelphia.

Homer Berry had a long successful career with the Philadelphia Electric Company, ultimately serving as president of PEC; also was president of Kiwanis International.

He married Edith Snyder Garrett, and had two daughters, Suzanne and Judith, and resided for many years in a home he built on Conshohocken State Road outside Philadelphia. He was a kind and gentle man who was very intelligent and well-read.
