Anita Gail Thomas, the daughter of Wayne Thomas and Delphia (Walters) Thomas, was born September 3, 1956, in Lubbock, Texas. She departed this life May 6, 2011 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, at the age of 54 years, eight months and eight days. Gail was married to Luther D. Thomas. They spent 38 happy years together raising their family. Gail was employed by Wal-Mart as an optical lab technician. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, attending yard sales, car shows and spending time with her family. Gail was preceded in death by her mother, Delphia Walter Thomas, her sister, Sharon Lawrence and one nephew, Adam Moreland. She leaves behind a loving family which includes her husband, Luther Thomas, of the home; her father, Wayne Thomas, of Stilwell; sons, Melvin Thomas and wife, Rosie, of Tahlequah and Terry Thomas and wife, Christy, of Atlanta, GA; daughter, Amanda Thomas Gilbert and husband, Brandon, of Stilwell; brothers, Jimmy Thomas and wife, Georgetta, of Tahlequah and Timmy Thomas and wife, Cindy, of Ocala, FA; sisters, Bonnie Dickinson, of Nowata and Sylvia Diane Moreland and husband, Harvey, of Natural Dam, AR; grandchildren, Soren Gilbert, Amy Poor and husband, Mike, Brandy Thomas, Deanna Johnson and husband, Matthew; great grandchildren, Hunter, Gavin and Ithyan Johnson, Pearce, Talon and Maverick Poor and Luke Morton. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at the Stilwell Church of Christ with Kenny Nakedhead officiating. Interment will follow at Piney Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
