Horst W. Zitzelsberger, 65 years, a resident of Tomkins Cove, died at his home on November 16, 2004. He was born October 6, 1939 in Munich, Germany to Wilhelm and Lina Fischl Zitzelsberger. He served in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1965. He was a mechanical engineer for Con Edison at Indian Point, Buchanan, for 20 years, retiring in 2003. Horst was a member of Gideon's International and a former member of the German-American Club of Putnam Valley. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church, Peekskill, where he served as trustee, bible teacher and was a member of the Missions Board. On November 18, 1979, at the First Baptist Church, Peekskill, he married Arlene Mary (Pitta) Zitzelsberger, who survives. He is also survived by his children: Tanya Mackey and Timothy Zitzelsberger, four grandchildren, his brother, Reinhold Zitzelsberger; his sisters: Sylvia Artmeier and Anneliese Bross, all of Germany. Funeral Services will be held at the First Baptist Church, Peekskill, Friday evening, 7:30 pm, November 19, 2004, where friends may greet the family following the Services. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery on Saturday morning. Memorial gifts to the Missions Board of the First Baptist Church, 690 Highland Avenue, Peekskill, NY 10566, will be appreciated.
