Albert Strache, 81, former resident of Watertown, died yesterday afternoon at Paducah, Kentucky, after a brief illness. For the past three years he had made his home with his son, Arnold, at Paducah. Before that time, he lived with his son Palmer, in Watertown.
He was born 26 January 1879 in the town of Ixonia, a son of the late Mr and Mrs Frederick Strache. He married Irma Oestreich at Ixonia on 20 May 1903. She preceded him in death in 1937.
Survivors are two sons, Arnold of Paducah and Palmer of Watertown; two sisters, Mrs Erna Schwefel of Ixonia and Mrs Lillian Jaeger of Oconomowoc; two brothers, Herman of Ixonia and Edward Strache of Johnson Creek; and 5 grandchildren. One brother and two sisters preceded him in death.
Mr Strache was a member of St Paul's Lutheran Church at Ixonia. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. Burial in the parish cemetery.
