Alvin A. Klausmeyer, 90, died Feb. 27, 2011, at Kingman Community Hospital. He was born Nov. 8, 1920, in St. Mary's Aleppo, Kansas, the son of W. Henry and Fredericka Scheve Klausmeyer. A resident of the Willowdale community most of his life, he was a retired farmer and stockman. He was a member of the St. Peter Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus, both of Willowdale.
On Nov. 17, 1947, he married Rose Ann Theis in St. Leo. Other survivors include: sons, Michael A., Richard L., Jerry W., Terry J. and Tim J.; a daughter, Mary J. Gooch; brothers, Lewis and Anthony; a sister, Celia Keiter; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers; three sisters and a granddaughter, Kimberly Klausmeyer.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Willowdale. Parish and Knights of Columbus rosaries will be at 7 p.m. today also at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Livingston Funeral Home. Memorials may be made with the Kingman Community Hospital Oncology Dept. in care of the funeral home.

Note: Aleppo was a small hamlet of Sedgwick County, and situated about 15 miles west of Wichita, and 5 miles northwest of Goddard, Ks.
