Frederick Martin "Freddy" Bump, age 73, of Muscle Shoals, died Sunday, May 15, 2011. His family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. today at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. His funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cox Boulevard Church of Christ, with Larry Kilpatrick and Steve Condra officiating. His body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. to lie in state. Burial will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Freddy was a member of Cox Boulevard Church of Christ and a member of IBEW Local No. 558. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Bernice Bump; brothers, Dennis and Buddy; sisters, Catherine and Deborah; and first wife, Faye Bump.
He is survived by his wife, Carolle Bump; son, Steven Bump and wife, Tammy, of Greenhill; daughter, DeAnna Turberville and husband, Mitch, of Gardendale, Ala.; stepsons, Bryan Kimbrough, of Booneville, Miss., John Kimbrough and wife, Tracy, of Muscle Shoals; stepdaughter, Cyndi Ledlow and husband, Dale, of Muscle Shoals; brother, Billy Bump and wife, Bonnie, of Florence; grandson, Bryan Turberville; stepgrandchildren, Corey, Devin, Ryan and Tyler Kimbrough, Chelsie Ledlow; nieces; nephews; and his beloved pets, Tattoo and Bell.
Pallbearers are Steven Bump, Mitch Turberville, Fred Bump, Mathew Bump, John Kimbrough and Harold Harrison Jr.
The family would like to express special thanks to the staff of ECM Palliative Care and to home health nurse, Amanda Dickerson and Tracy Kimbrough for the wonderful love and care provided.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cox Boulevard Church of Christ, Haiti Fund.
