June A. Haselhuhn, 87, of Belknap Township. died Monday, May 23, 2011, at Birch Lane Adult Foster Care in Rogers City.
The daughter of Herman and Dora (Bruder) Schlager was born June 14, 1923, in Rogers City where she graduated from Rogers City High School in 1941.
She and Karl Haselhuhn were married September 30, 1944 at St John Lutheran Church (LCMS) in Rogers City by the Rev Louis Linn. June and Karl lived on the Haselhuhn family farm in Hagensville.
June was a member of St John Lutheran Church (ELCA) in Hagensville and its Ladies' Aid; she also served as a Sunday school teacher.
June was well known for her butterscotch pies and torte cakes; she also enjoyed her flower and vegetable garden and canning.
June was preceded in death by:
... her husband Karl on March 14, 2008;
...a daughter, Karen Sue;
...a son Rodney;
...a brother Everett Schlager; and
...sisters,

...seven great-grandchildren;
...sister, Grace (Elmer) Claus of Rogers City; and
...many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was at the Brietzke Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 25,from 3-8 p.m. Visitation resumed at St. John Lutheran Church in Hagensville on Thursday, May 26th, at 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service with Rev. Charles Schultz officiating. Burial took place in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made in memory of June Haselhuhn to Hospice of the Sunrise Shore or the American Cancer Society.
