Mathilda Appelman dies this morning
Miss Mathilda (Tillie) Appelman, 69, died unexpectedly this morning at her home at 122 North Seventh Street.
Miss Appelman was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic church and the Rosary society. She was an employee of the West End restaurant for many years.
She was born in Decatur on Feb. 7, 1902, the daughter of George and Rose Miller-Appelman
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Albert (Theresa) Korb of Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Bud (Cecilia) Williamson of Lincoln, Neb.; and two brothers, Andrew Appelman of Decatur, and Theodore of Fort Wayne. One sister preceded he in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Mary’s Catholic church, with the Msgr. Simeon J. Schmitt officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday. Friends may call at the Zwick funeral home after 10 a.m. Sunday. (Sept. 24-71)
