Will: "1:316. JACOB HEDRICK. 29 Feb. 1836. Prob. Feb. 1838. Wife BARBARA 1 horse, 2 cows, household & kitchen furniture during her lifetime or widowhood. Son GEORGE 1 boy horse, 1 plow & gears, 125 acres of land on the West side of SWEARING CREEK joining ADAM HEDRIC, GEORGE HEDRIC and FRANKLIN HARGRAVE, running a strait line North & South, the said land to be left in the hands of a guardian to be put to his use during his life & if he should die without an heir to fall to CASPER & JACOB. If he should have heirs it is to go to their use. I further appoint DAVID LOPP for his guardian. Son CASPER the tract of land I purchased of JOHN LOPP containing 85 acres. I also give him 115 acres of land on the other side of SWEARING CREEK taken out of the tract left to GEORGE, running as strait line from ADAM HEDRICK'S line to FRANKIN HARGRAVES, also 1 plow & gears to him. Son JACOB my home plantation & the balance of all the land not willed, also 1 boy mare, 1 plow & gears. My will is that JACOB shall find my wife BARBARA all eatables & everything that she may need during her life or widowhood. Daughters LEAH, CHARLOTTE, SUSANNA & EVE two beds & bedsteads, two cows, one chest, one saddle & flax wheel. To each of my four daughtes also $65.00 each, also to have a home at the home plantation during their life or marriage. Daughter MAGDALINE, married to ANDREW KOONTS, 1 saddle, 1 chest, 1 bed, 2 cows & $50.00 in money which property she has in possession except the $50.00. Daughter MARY, married to JOHN LOPP, 1 saddle, 1 bed & bedstead, 2 cows, 1 chest, 1 horse at $50.00 which she has in her possession. Daughter BARBARA, married to DAVID KOONTS 2 beds, 1 pair of bedsteads, 1 saddle, 2 cows, 1 cotton wheel, also $50.00 in money which she has in possession except the $50.00. Daughter RACHEL, married to JACOB T. MESSER, $65.00 which she has received $40.00 sent to her by GEORGE HEDRIC. Sons CASPER & JACOB 1 road waggon, pair of strechers & 4 pair of waggon gears.
