Merle Wright Killian, 90, died November 29, 1996 in Salt Lake City.
She was born July 31, 1906 in Charleston to Owen and Matilda Casper Wright. She married Van C. Killian December 22, 1925 in Salt Lake City. He died January 29, 1993. She lived in Duchesne, Roosevelt, Flowell and the last five years in Salt Lake. She was a great cook and gardener. She enjoyed people, made many friends and loved her family, especially the grandchildren. She was a member of the LDS church.
Survivors include two children and spouses: Ross G. and Glenda Killian, Roosevelt; Patsy and Evan Winters, Taylorsville; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Freda Zufelt, Heber City; Edna Stewart, Ogden; Wells Wright, Brigham City; Earl Wright, Utah; Elma Clark, Bountiful. He was preceded in death by children, Wright, Larry, Janet and twin boys; brothers and sisters: Leona Sexton, Clarence Wright, Lila McGuire, Laura Nichol, Ernest Wright.
Funeral services Tuesday, 1 p.m. at the Duchesne LDS 1st ward chapel where friends may call from 11-12:45. Interment: Duchesne Cemetery . Directors: Hullinger-Olpin Mortuary, Roosevelt.
