Martin Korte Services Friday
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Friday at the Klaehn Funeral Home for Martin C Korte, 73, who died at 6:15 am yesterday in the Lutheran Hospital where he had been a patient since Saturday. Mr Korte, who resided at 1724 Westgate Drive, was former president and chairman of the boardof Korte Brothers Inc. A lifelong resident here, Mr Korte retiredfrom Korte Brothers nine years ago. Surviving are his wife, Caroline; a daughter, Mrs Floyd J Brookmyer; a son Elmer; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, William C and a sister, Mrs Fred Meyer, all of Fort Wayne. He was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, a former church trustee, and a member of the Men's Group and honorary chairman of the church's building fund. Officiating at the ceremony will be Rev Walter M Schoedel. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 pm today. Fort Wayne Journal Gazette - October 4, 1961
