Katherine E. Finneran
Katherine E. Finneran, 89, of Leavenworth, passed away Monday, May 2, 2005, at Medicalodge of Leavenworth.
She was born the daughter of William and Florence (Gallagher) Conway on Saturday, Jan. 22, 1916, in Leavenworth.
She married John Lloyd Finneran on Sept. 19, 1938, at St. Joseph of the Valley Catholic church. He passed away on June 13, 1986, after 47 years of marriage.
Katherine is survived by her son and his wife, John and Mary; two daughters and their husbands, Mary and Fred Murawski and Patricia John Rettig; 11 grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-children.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lloyd; brothers, James and Bill Conway; and sisters, Loretta Filbert, Charlotte Patzwald, Laura Guenther and Florence Holtgraver.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at St Joseph Catholic church. Burial will follow at the Mount Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Make-a-Wish Foundation in care of the Belden-Sexton-Sumpter Funeral Chapel, 500 Oak St., Leavenworth, KS 66048: 682-1614
