Martha was the wife of George Ernest Ratliff, and the mother of George Ernest, Jr. (aka George, III), Connie, Thomas and David. She lived in the rural area of Cedar Lane, TX which is near the towns of Van Vleck and Bay City, TX. I was contacted by a family friend, Bill Ward, who said that the Ratliff family owned a country store called "4 Corners" just across from the family property in Cedar Lane. They also raised cattle and had a service (gas) station.

**I have been informed by a family member that there is some confusion about the Georges. I am told that Martha's son, George Ernest, is actually George Ernest III, despite being referred to as George, Jr. on his memorial/headstone.

And this obit. information from Bill Foster--
