She was born in New Castle, the daughter of Earnest and Lucy (Poindexter) Baughan and moved to Muncie in 1942.
Mrs. Tomlinson was secretary/treasurer of Tomlinson Plumbing and Heating, which she co-owned with her husband, Ernest "Tommy" Tomlinson for 24 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church and the American Business Women, Silhouette Chapter. She was also a charter member of Riley-Jones.
Surviving are three daughters, Darlene, Angie, and Paula; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Richardson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; five sisters, Selma and Thelma Baughan, Catherine Duncan, Dorothy Mees, and Evelyn Miles; and brother, Harold Baughan.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday in Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Daniel P. Mackey officiating. Burial will follow in Tomlinson Cemetery. Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday or one hour prior to her services on Monday at the church.
