Linda Kay Norman was born Feb. 20, 1960, in Fairmont, Minn., to Richard and Alice Norman. She graduated from Fairmont Senior High School in 1978.
Linda was united in marriage to Randy Schmidt in 1980, and they were blessed with two sons, Bradey and Eric. Linda loved her children and granddaughter, Cora so much. She would always call them her "little pumpkins." Fishing and hunting were some of her favorite things to do with her boys, she loved the outdoors. Linda was the biggest animal lover and was always surrounded by her animals. One of her favorite activities was watching the Minnesota Vikings every Sunday. It didn't matter if they would win or lose, she always cheered them on.
Linda's favorite place to be was surrounded by all her friends at her bar "Our Place." She always greeted everyone there with a smile. She had such a contagious personality that could light up an entire room.
Linda is survived by her son, Bradey and Jenny Schmidt and her granddaughter, Cora of Welcome, Minn., son, Eric and Stephanie Schmidt of Champlin, Minn.; her father, Richard Norman of Fairmont; sisters, Roberta Norman and husband, Terry Walton of Plainview, Minn., Barbara (Reid) Vanbrunt, Nancy (Dan) Thiesse of Fairmont, Minn., and Mary (John) Larson of Welcome, Minn.; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts and uncles and all of the Schmidt family.
She was preceded in death by her mother Alice Norman; and her grandparents.
