ADAM HAAS OF MT. PLEASANT UNABLE TO ATTEND CHILD'S FUNERAL
---------------------------------------------
CAN'T LEAVE DEATH BED
-----------------------
Stricken on the Day of His Return From Colorado Where He Had Gone in Quest of Health;
Illness Aggravated by Grief Over Death
-----------------------
Coming all the way from Hot Springs, Col., to attend the funeral of his three-year-old child, Adam F. Haas died twenty four hours after he arrived in the city.
The child was buried Saturday while Haas died Sunday afternoon.
Haas has lived in Racine county for many years, pursuing the farming industry at Mt. Pleasant. For the last year and a half he has been ill and it was on that account that he went to Hot Springs, in an effort to regain his health. Hearing of his child's death, he hurried home last week, arriving Saturday. The long trip, with the grief attendant upon his child's death, was probably partially responsible for his death.
Deceased was 39 years of age and leaves a wife and seven children, four sons and three daughters, also four brothers and three sisters. The funeral will take place Wednesday morning at 8:30 from the home in Mt. Pleasant and at 10 o'clock from the Caledonia Catholic Mission church. The interment will be in the Catholic Cemetery.
