Angel Cruz Lopez, 18, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2011. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Abilene Funeral Home Chapel of Hope, 3349 N. 12th Street. Burial will follow in the Sweetwater Cemetery in Sweetwater, directed by Abilene Funeral Home. Viewing and visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Angel was born January 19, 1993, in Abilene.
Survivors include a daughter, Maiha Leeann Lopez of Aspermont; the girl friend and mother of his child, Lori Salazar of Aspermont; his parents, Lenor and Alexander Lopez Jr.; a brother, Steve Lopez of Abilene; three sisters, Rosa Valenzuele, Crystal Lopez (Josh Christian), Emily Lopez (Chris Pate), all of Abilene; a grandmother, Rosa Ortagan (Bennie) of Snyder; two nieces and seven nephew.
Pallbearers will be Allan Peralez, Evan Peralez, Freddy Peralez, Tennessee Smith, Alex Padilla; and Robert Trevino.
Pier boys will be Aaron Cortez and Brian Ramirez.
Angel was preceded in death b y his grandparents, Alexander Lopez Sr., Eva Lopez and Pascual Mendez. A nephew, Nathaniel Cruz Lopez.
