Betty P. Kennebeck, 81, of Dallas City, Illinois passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 11:30 A.M. at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington, Iowa.

She was born on October 1, 1929 in Burlington, Iowa, the daughter of James Aaron and Mildred Z. Paul Krow Sr. In 1947 she married John Siens. They later divorced. In 1968 she married Daniel Kennebeck. He preceded her in death.

Betty worked as a secretary for Woodstock Diecasting for many years in Woodstock, Illinois, retiring in 1991. She moved to Dallas City in 1992. She enjoyed reading and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Jan Molter of Burlington, Iowa and Nancy King of Elvaston, Illinois, 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, 1 brother, Richard Krow of Dallas City, 2 sisters, Delores Shoemate of Dallas City and Bertha Blindt of Biggsville, Illinois and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son, Philip Herriman and 2 brothers, James Krow Jr. and Harold Krow.

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City with Rev. Larry Menschel officiating. Burial will be in the Carman, Illinois Cemetery. Friends may call after 4:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home where the family will meet with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. A memorial fund has been established for the Lomax Ambulance Service, American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
