Funeral services for Mathias William Offerman, Faribault businessman who died yesterday morning at the St. Lucas hospital, will be held Thursday morning at the St. Lawrence Church at 9 o'clock. The Rev. Frederic Bieter, St. Paul, a nephew of the deceased will be the celebrant. The Deacon will be the Rev. Valentine Schiffrer, andthe sub-deacon, the Rev. I. Domestici. Interment will be in the St. Lawrence cemetery.
The pallbearers are Thomas H. Quinn, N.C. Bieter, John Reising, Leo Shandorf, Archie Tischler and John Roell, Honorary pallbearers are John Ruge, John Kasper, George Thompson, John Lyons, William Cook, Robert Tischler, Harry Bachttrach, A.B. Becker, George Bieter, William Roepke, A.W. Karp, and Alvin Burkhartsmeyer.
Mr. Offerman was born in Faribault in 1876, and had spent practically his whole life in this city. He had been in the shoe business for nearly 40 years.
Members of the Catholic Order of Foresters will meet at the Offerman home at 8 p.m. Wednesday and will attend the funeral Thursday.
