Archibald (Archie) Karsten was laid to rest in Rogers City Memorial Park Cemetery on Monday. He was 66 years old and passed away at the Rogers City Hospital on January 8 following a lengthy illness.
Born in Moltke December 4, 1903 he was a lifelong resident of the county. His marriage to Margaret Schalk, who survives, was an event on May 9, 1925 in Moltke.
Mr. Karsten was an employee of U.S. Steel's Calcite plant and after 25 years of service he retired in June 1967, as a Blaster.

Funeral services were held at St. John Lutheran Church at two o'clock Monday. The Rev. Harold Molzan officiated.
Serving as pallbearers were Herman Vogler, Jr. William Karsten, Jr. Roger Schalk, Milo Grulke, Ivan Streich, and Edward Karsten, Jr.
