Mrs. Eula Frances Trivette Smith, 85, of Winston-Salem, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at her daughter's home. She was born May 22, 1926 in Ashe County to Jeff and Hattie Ann Greer Trivette. Mrs. Smith was of the Baptist faith. She loved gardening, crocheting, bird watching and playing cards. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis Thorpe Smith; two brothers; and one sister. Surviving are two daughters, Hattie Ann Ervin and husband Ronnie of King, Sandy Smith Wilson and husband Tim of Midway; one son, Robert Smith and wife Patricia of Winston-Salem; two sisters, Dessie Mae Roark of Creston and Opal Trivette of Lenoir; two brothers, Melvin Trivette and J.L. Trivette, both of Jefferson; six grandchildren, Dewayne Ervin (Molly), Kimberly Bowles (Brian), Joshua Ervin, Shannon Crumel (Champ), Timothy Wilson, Jr., and Jeffery Drew Smith (Cherie); six great grandchildren, Haley Nichole Smith, Matthew Robert Smith, Jake Ervin Floyd, Bianca Elizabeth Bowles, Rhylee Joseph Ervin and Adrian Louis Vargas; and special friends, Debbie and Laverne. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 21 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Aaron Long officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 20 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to VFW Post 1134, 4129 S. Main St., Winston-Salem, NC 27127.
