Obituary, The Oklahoman, February 12, 2003
Clive Berry Tedford, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, went home to be with Jesus on Monday, February 10, 2003, after a short battle with cancer. He was born on January 17, 1919, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, to his parents, Ida Grace Berry Tedford and Grover Cleveland Blake, and later adopted by J. Paul Tedford. He was a Veteran of the Navy and served in World War II aboard the USS Astoria in the Pacific Theater and was a member of the Navy's SeaBees.

He married Opal Marie Cox, in 1942, and started a family in Eureka, Kansas, then later moved to Oklahoma City to raise his family. After serving his country, he went to work for a local dairy, where he drove a horse-drawn milk wagon. He then worked for Montgomery Wards until his retirement in 1985. He enjoyed traveling and spending lots of time with his family. Clive was always a part of family events and trips.

He was preceded in death by: his wife, his parents, and grandchildren, Cindy Tedford Evans, Sheila Tedford Sykes, and great grandchild, Natasha Sykes. He is survived by: his son, Paul B. Tedford and wife, Linda of San Antonio, Texas; his son, Dan C. Tedford and wife, Sandra of Oklahoma City; his daughter, Deanna M. Roberts and husband, Von of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Steve Tedford and wife, Tina; Sky and Lea Roberts; great grandchildren, Melanie and Ryan Tedford, and Gary and Michael Evans. He is also survived by one sister, Mary Lou Martin and husband, Oren Lee of Oklahoma City. Clive was truly a kind and gentle man who taught all who knew him patience and caring. His presence and love will be truly missed by those of us who loved him. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2003, 2:00 p.m., at Vondel L. Smith and Son Mortuary North Colonial Chapel in Oklahoma City. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park Cemetery.
