Jacob W. Bever married Louise M. Heintzelman on 26 December 1892 in Paris Township, Kent County, Michigan. There were three sons born of their union. They were Lurain Odessa, Jessie Herman and Dennie Herbert Bever.
Jacob died on 28 April 1931 in Bloomfield Township, Missaukee County, Michigan. He was buried in the Fairview Cemetery on 3 May 1931.
