COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa -- Geraldine "Gerri" Leonhard, 92, of Columbus Junction, died Saturday, November 17, 2012, at Colonial Manor Care Center in Columbus Junction.

Funeral Service will be 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at the United Presbyterian Church in Columbus Junction. The Rev. Faye Fedlam of the United Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be at Columbus City Cemetery. Following the interment, there will be refreshments served at United Presbyterian Church.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction. Memorials may be directed to the Columbus Junction United Presbyterian Church.

Anna Geraldine Hughes was born on September 24, 1920, in Columbus City, the daughter of Edward and Mary Peters Hughes. On October 11, 1945, Gerri was united in marriage to Bud Leonhard at the Columbus City United Presbyterian Church.

She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Gerri enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and Iowa Hawkeye Basketball on T.V., but most of all she dearly loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Geraldine will be dearly missed her three sons, Randy Leonhard and wife, Susie, of Columbus Junction, Ronald Leonhard of Muscatine, and Robert Leonhard and wife, Carolyn, of Marshalltown; nine grandchildren, Andrew Leonhard and wife, Vanessa, of San Antonio, Texas, Corey Leonhard of Muscatine, Nick Pugh and wife, Dannisha, of Shueyville, Iowa, Salina (Pugh) Hemann and husband, Nick, of Iowa City, Zachery Leonhard of Muscatine, Lucas Leonhard of Muscatine, Katrina (Leonhard) Alman and husband, Dan, of Zearing, Iowa, Robert Leonhard and wife, Jennifer, of Ankeny, Iowa, Mitchell Leonhard and wife, Catrina, of Nampa, Ind.; five great-grandchildren, Elynn, Caleb, Oaken, Aria, and Jason; sister-in-law, Marilyn Thomas of Columbus Junction; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Donna Hughes; a sister-in-law Kathryn Hughes; and one brother, LeRoy Hughes
