Maurine B. Grimmer, 86, of Happy Valley, died June 17, 2011. She was born November 1, 1924, in Greeley, CO, to Henry and Molly (Goodman) Rush.
A selfless care-giver, Maurine became a registered nurse, and spent most of her career at Emanuel Hospital in Portland. She was a longtime member of Faith Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her sons Greg, Blair (and his wife Ann), Cal (and his wife Janice) Grimmer; daughter Jan (and her husband Bruce) Lindley; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and twin brothers Bill and Bob Rush. She was preceded in death by her husband Herman Grimmer in 1978.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 24, 2011, at Finley-Sunset Hills Mortuary, 6801 S.W. Sunset Hwy., Portland. A reception will follow.
