CHARLES J. F. MUELLER, JR. - Thomaston

Charles J F Mueller Jr, age 76, of Thomaston, Texas, went on to be with his Lord on Sunday, January 30, 2011. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that had been touched throughout his memorable life.

He was born January 1, 1935 in Lavaca County, Texas to the late Charles J F Mueller Sr. and Otillie Sauer Mueller.

In his youth, he served with the U.S. Navy as a radio operator on transport flights during the Korean War. He met his lifetime sweetheart and wife of 50 years, Margaret Miller, at Huggins Laboratory in Sunnyvale, CA where they both worked in 1960. Moved to Texas in 1966 where he went to work at Union Carbide. He retired after 29 years of service as an instrument mechanic instructor. Charles and Margaret have six children, 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

He was a devoted Christian and member of Blessed Assurance Community Church in Concrete, TX. He had a heart for the living things in his life; gardening, flowers, fruit trees and his toy poodles. He had many friends and a large family who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Roy Gene Mueller. Survivors include: wife, Margaret Mueller of Thomaston, TX; son, Charles Mueller III of Cuero TX; daughters include, Glenda Lang of Axtell, TX, Deborah Fetters and husband Rock of Cuero, TX, Rhonda Goehring and husband Wesley of Victoria, TX, Charlene Benson and husband Forrest of Cibolo, TX, and Darilyn Barger of Victoria, TX; brother, Larry Mueller and wife Jerilyn of Hallettsville, TX; sisters, Alene Harris, Delores Frisbie and husband Warfield, and Shirley Milsap, all of Victoria, TX.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Colonial Funeral Home, Victoria, TX. Pastors John Mueller & John Wallace will be officiating. Pallbearers are Cameron Barger, Clay Fetters, Jaylin Fetters, Joshua Goehring, Bryan Murphy, and Matthew Murphy. Ushers are Christopher Benson, Jonathan Benson and Jeremy Goehring. Entombment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery on Highway 87, Victoria, TX.

Arrangements are with Colonial Funeral Home, Victoria, TX.
