Bonnie R. Thuenen, 75, of Rock Island, died Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at Rock Island Nursing and Rehab Center.

Visitation is 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, with graveside services following at Rock Island National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

The former Bonnie Ruth Edna Salmon was born June 20, 1936, in Eliza Township, Mercer County, the daughter of Bartley and Marie Jones Salmon. She married Henry Charles Thuenen III, who preceded her in death in 1971. She enjoyed reading and bingo.

Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Ackerman, Blue Grass; two grandsons and their wives, Brandon and LaDonna Clark and Jerrod and Gariana Clark; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Freeburg, and a brother, Michael Gordon.
