Jerry Lee Bachleitner, 74 of Magnolia, Arkansas passed away Sunday, September 26, 2010 at his home.
He was born on February 22, 1936 in Fort Meade, South Dakota to the late Raymond Augustus Bachlietner and Florence Estelle (Baker) McConnell. He was a veteran in the United States Navy aboard the submarine USS Raton from 1957 to 1959.
He is survived by his wife Velma Bachleitner of Magnolia; two daughters, Lesley Hazleton and husband Mark of Houston, Texas, Sarena Cox and husband Roger of Homer, Louisiana; three grandchildren, Marlis, Ian, and Berit Hazleton all of Houston; three step brothers, LeRoy Draine and wife Cathie of Piedmont, South Dakota, Maurice Draine and wife Susan of Kent, Washington, Roger Draine of South Dakota; two nephews, Gary Holmes and wife Candace and their children, Colin and Kelsey, and Scott Holmes and wife Shari and their children, Seth and Reece of Colorado.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 1, 2010 at 11:00 am at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Father Hart officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123-1718.
