Jack Millard Wilson, 64, died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2002 in Overland Park where he had moved after his retirement from pastoring in Liberal. Visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Old Mission Mortuary; service 1 p.m. Tuesday, Bethel Life Center 3777 S. Meridian, Wichita; burial in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Wichita.
Mr. Wilson was born Jan. 24, 1938 in Beggs, Okla. to Rev. J. Harmon and Janolle Wilson. On Feb. 20, 1960 he married Elizabeth Leppke at Catoosa, Okla.
He grew up in Oklahoma and graduated from Webbers Fall H.S. He started preaching when he was 16. He was ordained with the Assemblies of God in 1962 and pastored churches in Quapaw, Vinita, and Catoosa, Okla. and Topeka, Winfield, Beloit and Liberal, Kan.
Preceded in death by parents; brother, John Wayne Wilson.
Survivors: wife Elizabeth; children, Rev. Jeff Wilson and his wife, Judy, from Goddard, Teresa Drake and her husband, Gy of Lenexa; grandchildren, Janell, Andrea and Bradley Wilson and Sam, Micah, and Gillian Drake and Stephanie Bever and her husband, Luke of Mountain Home, Idaho and two great-grandchildren, Nickolas and Natalie Bever; sister-in-law, Sadie Wilson; niece, Laurie Ray; two great-nieces, Jessica and Sarah Ray.
