Two State Deaths
Mrs. Helen Mirise
Plainview, Minn. (Special)
Mrs. Helen Mirise, 74, Plainview, died Friday evening at the Hillcrest Nursing and Retirement Home.
The former Helen Welp, she was born here Dec. 9, 1894, to Mr. and Mrs. Clem Welp and was married to Paul H. Mirise in June 1924. They moved to Trinidad, Colorado, where they lived until 1927. Following her husband's death in 1927 {sic 1928} she moved here where she taught mathematics and physics at the Plainview High School from 1928 to 1959. After two years of teaching in Wintertown, Md., she retired here in 1961.
Survivors are: One son, Paul; one brother, Harold, Plainview; and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Walch, Plainview.
