Evelyn Marie Greinert died Thursday, Jan. 3 (1991) in the Fairmont Community Hospital at the age of 68.
Funeral service for Mrs. Greinert was held In Saint Luke's Lutheran Church of Fairville at 10:30 a.m. Sat. Jan. 5., with the Rev. Michael Wolters officiating. Burial was in Saint Luke's Lutheran Cemetery.
Evelyn, the daughter of Christ and Katie Alt, was born in Corwith Oct. 16, 1922. She grew up in the Algona area, and after graduating from Algona High School in 1940, she moved to Detroit to work for a war plant and later a telephone company.
She was married to Fred Greinert Sept. 1, 1950, and after their marriage the couple farmed in the Rlngsted and Fenton areas.
Evelyn Grienert is survived by her husband, a son, Randy Greinert, Fenton, and a daughter, Christy, Mrs. Daniel Bleckwenn, also of Fenton. Other survivors are a brother, Melvin Alt of Burt, and four sisters, Minnie Speth of Windom, MN, Pearl, Mrs. Eli Gerber of West Bend, Dorothy, Mrs. Harold Lampe, Burt, and Ruby, Mrs. Mervin Jentz of Bancroft.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.
