DAISY HESS Born April 12, 1920 to Thomas Jefferson Fleeman and Annie Fleeman died September 6, 2006 at the age of 86 after a short illness. A native of Missouri, Daisy made the Bay Area her home for more than 60 years. She was a proud retiree of Granny Goose Foods previously located in Oakland. Until the last few years, she and friends took local busses shopping, vacationed in Reno, and generally enjoyed daily life. She was devoted to her family. She was predeceased by her loving husband Jack, grandson Michael John Lilley, and sisters Ferne Whitby and Arlene Saunders. She is survived by her two daughters, Shirley McDougall (Robert) and Judy Lee Hess; three grandchildren, Randy Martin, Debbie Braun (Kevin) and Danny McDougall; and great granddaughters Alicia Lee Sherard (partner David Robinson) and Nicole Marie Martin; and the most recent blessing: great-great-grandson David Robertson, Jr. born two weeks ago. A memorial service will be at on Monday, September 11th at 11:00 a.m. at the Neptune Society at 2419 Grove Way, Castro Valley.
