Marion N. Treinen, 50, Remsen farmer and businessman, died Sunday at Sacred Heart hospital after a seven-month illness.

Mr. Treinen was born May 23, 1913, near Remson. He married Angeline Conrad on April 27, 1937, at Remsen.

He was a member of the board of directors of St. Mary Catholic church, the First Trust and Savings bank and the Remsen Tank Line. He was secretary of the Farmer's Co-operative Elevator Co. and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He also was the Meadow township 4-H club leader.

Survivors include the widow; three daughters, Mrs. John Norris of Omaha, Miss Judy Treinen of Sioux City and Dorothy at home; a son, Donald at home; his father, Nicholas Treinen of Remsen; a sister, Mrs. Edward Martin of Ponliac, Mich.; and two brothers, Norman of Remsen and Linus of Lake Orion, Mich.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic church, Remsen. Rt. Rev. Msgr. F. P. Schultes will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday nights at the Fisch funeral home, Remsen.
