Clint Strong, four year old darling of a doubly bereaved home, fell like a flower before the grim reaper. We feel that she was waft "From grief and groan to a golden throne beside the King of Heaven" and may the thought cause the burden of sorrow to grown lighter with Tennyson we would say:

Sweetly sleep tender heart in peace,
Sleep, Holy Spirit, blessed soul,
While the stars burn, the moons increase,
And the great ages onward roll.

(taken from the Caldwell Newspaper, 13 March 1903)

"The doubly bereaved home" refers to the death of the older sister, Nannie Strong, age 13, who passed away 6 March 1903.
Their father, John Thomas Strong, had died 21 December 1902.

These two girls were sisters of my Grandmother, Nellie Gertrude (Strong) Lytle.
