Funeral services were held Saturday, June 8, 1974 at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, Abbotsford, for Theodore H. Lenz, 91, former Abbotsford resident, who died on June 6 at the home of his son, Milton Lenz, in the town of Hull.

Rev. Robert Swalve officiated at the service and interment was made in the Abbotsford Cemetery. Mrs. Eugene Strathman, organist, provided music and accompanied Joyce Lenz, soloist, during the service.

Pallbearers were Gary Anderson, Dick Eckerle, Gerald Lenz, Larry Johnson, James Lenz, and Milton Lenz Jr.

Polnaszek Funeral Home, Abbotsford, was in charge of funeral arrangements.

Mr. Lenz was born February 9, 1883 in Outagamie County, Wisconsin. He received his education in Iowa Schools. He was married to the former Lillie J. Marti on November 6, 1907, at Church Town, Iowa. They lived there for five years, then at Eagle Bend, Minnesota, and in 1919 they moved to a farm near Colby, where their son Milton, still resides. They retired in 1949 and moved to Abbotsford. Mrs. Lenz died on May 7, 1968. Mr. Lenz has made his home with his son since 1968.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Abbotsford.

Surviving are two sons, Milton, Route 2, Colby, and Lavern, address unknown, nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Harry, New Albin, Iowa, and Ed, Eagle Bend, Minnesota, and a sister, Mrs. Edna Papistella, Hinsdale, Illinois.

A daughter, Mrs. Gay (Wilma) Anderson, three sisters and a brother also preceded him in death.
