She was born in Denver, CO and moved to Murphy in 1989. She graduated with honors from the Southwestern Community College in the physical therapy assistant program and practiced at Mountain Home Nursing Service, District Memorial Hospital, Good Shepherd Home Health Care, and Cherokee and Clay County School Systems.
Professionally, Patricia provided the highest level of service possible and had the delightful ability to comfort all of her patients and students, leaving them with hope, a smile, and generally a good laugh. She helped improve the quality of life of many. Patricia dearly loved her family, cherished her friends, and was loved and cherished in return. She was inspirational, a warrior with unbelievable strength and determination for others fighting cancer. She loved her community and gave her last days to providing physical therapy to home-bound patients.
Patricia was an animal angel and helped all stray animals. Her favorite quote was "To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best day and night to make you like everybody else, means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight and never stop fighting."
Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Doug Drew.
Patricia wished any gifts or donations to be made in her honor to the Valley River Humane Society of Cherokee County.
